Midterms have passed, and all is quiet.
Except for my mind.
When it rains it pours, I guess. And here I sit, covered in presentations and final drafts and housing choices and class registration and favors and my lack of sleep, wishing it was raining in windy, bi-polar Oklahoma.
So, while today’s blog will be short, here are some things helping me out today and preparing me for the hell fire that may be tomorrow:
- Friends–friends who saw Hozier in concert and called me crying they were so happy; friends who are willing to drive to Starbucks in the morning so we can register for classes and die together; friends who are willing to play around with scenes we have to perform, and the intimacy I find myself so unaccustomed to. Thank you so much. You know who you are.
- All those teachers I am close with being so incredibly uplifting in my crippling self-doubt.
- The man who always serves me coffee on campus gave me some on the house today. And that made my day.
Yeah, uh. That’s about it.
If you don’t mind, I’m gonna go do homework.
I’ll see y’all on Sunday.
